"Mr. Joseph Nicolich and Mr. Sorin Carciu of Above Remodeling Corp (ARC) completed in April 2009, a repair job involving replacement of damaged kitchen flooring tiles in my apartment located in Manhattan. We bought our first apartment in March 2009 — a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment on the 4th floor of a brownstone that hadn't been updated in decades.  We knew we wanted to renovate even before we bought it and began immediately looking for contractors to help us realize our vision for our home.  Luckily for us, after speaking to many potential contractors, we made the wise decision to work with the team from ARC.  What started out initially as a small job — to refinish the floors, install recess lighting in the living room and kitchen and rough the plumbing for a new kitchen — quickly grew as we became impressed with the quality of ARC's craftsmanship and professionalism. After a month of working with them, they earned our trust and we asked them to also install base molding throughout the apartment, update the main bedroom and do a complete gut renovation of one of the bathrooms.  Throughout the entire process, Sorin, Joe and their team were extremely attentive and dedicated.  They answered our endless number of questions and requests and were always available to put in the extra effort until we were absolutely satisfied with the finished product. We have used Sorin and his crew twice in the past 10 months, once for our apartment on Park Ave. and a second time for my daughter's apartment on E 79th St. I don't want to sound too laudatory, but his company is probably the best I've ever found. I have done many renovations and new builds over the years, not only on my personal residences, but on investment real estate that I have owned. His foreman Joe is extremely professional and courteous, and responds promptly to every request. He and his men are capable, clean, and thorough in their work. Whenever a question has arisen about any aspect of a job, he has addressed it immediately and, if a change or modification was required, never asked for additional monies (no nickel and diming). Sorin's pricing was as good or better than any other quotes we received, and he completed all work on schedule and to our satisfaction.
